Interlocal Agreement for Water Meter Reads

The City of Vader has entered into an Interlocal Agreement with the Lewis County Public Works Department for reciept of water meter read information necessary for sewer billing purposes. The LC Public Works Department has been supplying this information free of charge from February 2011 until August 2015 at which point they required payment for meter read services in exchange for the necessary information. Lewis County declined to consider the information exchange as a Public Record as defined in  RCW Chapter 42.56 which would allow the information to be available at no charge to the City (excepting any photo copying costs).  Therefore, in order to comply with current law to provide timely bi-monthly sewer billing statements the City Council agreed to the terms of the attached Interlocal Agreement.
