NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the VADER CITY COUNCIL will hold a public hearing on June 10th, 2026 to receive public testimony on a proposed Ordinance to enter into an interlocal agreement between Lewis County and City of Vader for the City to annex territory within the urban growth area.

The hearing will take place at or after 5:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers, located in Vader City Hall at 317 8th St. This initial public hearing will allow the public to provide comments to the City Council relating to the annexation of portions of the Urban Growth Area. The public is encouraged to participate through in-person attendance, remote attendance, or submission of written comment. Written comments may be submitted through noon June 10th by emailing cityclerk@vaderwa.org or postal mail to 317 8th Street, Vader, WA, 98593.

As part of the annexation process, a separate hearing with the Lewis Board of County Commissioners will occur on June 16th, 2026. The hearing will take place in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse in Chehalis, Washington. Interested parties are encouraged to check the Commissioners’ Business Meeting agenda for the Zoom log-in details. The agenda and meeting details will be posted at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting on the Lewis County Agendas & Calendar webpage. The ILA and Ordinance is subject to change before or at the hearing.
