We would like to officially welcome the newly appointed Interim Mayor, Lois Wilson! Mayor Wilson will be filling in the Mayor's position due to the vacancy created when Ken Smith left office. Mayor Wilson will remain in office until the next regular election is completed in November 2019. The winner of the election will take office immediately upon certification of the election.

Mayor Wilson has been a resident in Vader since 2006 and has served on the City Council, with the Lion's Club, and the Vader Citizen's League. She cares for her 97 year old mother, Luella, and has helped and cared for many of the elderly residents in and around Vader. She has run a sucessful logging camp operation in Alaska for 7 years, with her then husband. She has also owned and operated an Adult Care Facility in Oregon for many years where she was able to use her skills as a Certified Nurses Assistant. After her second husband passed away she retired here in Vader 13 years ago, where she is well known for her compassionate heart, friendly demeanor and listening ear. Thank you Lois for being willing to fill in during the city's time of need.

Mayor Wilson will be at city hall on Tuesday nights from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. to hear residents concerns, comments and ideas. Please come down and let Mayor Wilson know what's on your mind.
